This mini-site showcases a limited number of microformats2 examples. Use them as a boilerplate of sorts for your microformats-powered web pages.

All of these examples play nicely with the most common social reader software (i.e., those feed aggregators that also support h-feed) and microformats parsers.

To get started, we’ll cover possible markup for the following common post types (more to follow, eventually):

  • Article
  • Note
  • Photo
  • Video
  • Checkin
  • Bookmark
  • Reply
  • Like
  • Repost
  • RSVP
  • Recipe
  • Card
  • Event

Note that these are ordered more or less from least to most specific as per the post type discovery algorithm. (Rather than refer to the spec, we are starting from Aperture’s–one of the few h-feed aggregators out there–implementation. Not that it matters much.)
